In Development
RAIL
Dave Dorman has been my longtime business partner and closest friend. We've dined in the presence of George Lucas, we've been humbled on the set of amazing directors like Jean Pierre Juenet and Academy Award-nominated cinematographers like Darius Khondji. We've sat together in millions of meetings with executives from Fox, Sony, and HBO. But from the day in 1995 when Dave first created the environments that would become RAIL, I have wanted to bring his story to the screen. Dave and I are currently in the development process.
YOUNG ROCKETS
I created the concept of a hot rod racing story set in an alternate past. My longtime partner Dave Dorman painted one of my concepts as a piece of pitch art, and my friend Scott Miller wrote a screenplay incorporating his vision for the project. I am currently revising the entire story, going back to my original concept of a hot rod/juvenile delinquent story.
LUANA
In 1974, Alan Dean Foster wrote the novelization for an Italian film entitled LUANA with only the poster art by Frank Frazetta, a few movie stills, a script in Italian, and the characters names to go by. What he created bore little resemblance to the film, but it is an excellent jungle adventure in the tradition of Edgar Rice Burroughs. Alan and I have been toying with the idea of reissuing the novel and writing a treatment for a "re-visioned" film based not on the earlier film, but on his original story.
